Concert Season in Lignano Sabbiadoro

On 1st September 2009, the town has the pleasure of hosting a concert organised to expose the great pieces of music by Mozart, Bizet, Piazzolla, Gardel and Tosti in the Sala Darsena. If you are on holiday in Lignano, the concert will take place at 9.00 pm and it has been planned with the commitment of the "Assieme per la Musica" Association.

It will be another very important occasion to mark the commitment and participation in the organisation of wide-ranging cultural events. It has a long, golden beach, lapped by a clear blue sea, modern tourist facilities and many hotels and residential facilities, all for enjoying free time there and having fun.

Solidarity Meeting in Lignano Sabbiadoro

If you are travelling to Lignano from the 16th – 19th April, do not forget to attend the 9th Meeting of the Cri Du Chat Children’s Association. A solidarity effort organized by the "Getur" Sports Center to meet and help 40 children with a genetic disease which results in severe language and mental disorders caused by the loss of a chromosome component.

This is the ninth meeting for those who are interested in this problem and for three days the children will have the opportunity to play sports at every level: swimming, football, basketball, athletics and much more. These group activities aim to enhance the individual and are regarded as being of major importance for rehabilitation. Voluntary workers of "Lignano Sabbiadoro Gestioni", "Lignano in Fiore Onlus and IPA Lignano support the project".

The Great Golf in Green Lignano

From Friday 19 to Sunday 21 September 2008, at the Golf Club Lignano, is scheduled a three-days of absolute fun for all fans of sport in Lignano: it will be held the first edition of the golf tournament "The Champions Trophy PGAs of Europe", challenge between the professional associations belonging to the European PGA (Professional Golfer's Association of Europe), for a total of 54 holes medal.

To contend the title there will be 30 Europe-leading professional players.

Max Pezzali in Concert in Lignano

The rich season of music and events in Lignano is enriched with another great appointment: the concert of Max Pezzali, once leader of the band 883, which will perform on thursday August 28 in the Arena Alpe Adria of Lignano Sabbiadoro, single stage in Veneto of its summer tour.

Author of several highly successful songs (like "Hanno ucciso l'Uomo Ragno", "La dura legge del gol", "La regola dell'amico" and many others), Max Pezzali is one of the most renowned Italian artists, followed by a nourished crowd of fans of all ages that endear thanks to its genuine behaviour and ability to talk in its songs about events that are part of everyday life of each one of us.

Californian Lignano

Another night of great music and fun in Lignano Sabbiadoro thanks to the event expected on Saturday, July 19: at Piazza Ursella is scheduled the show of "Becker's Band", with a live concert that wants to pay homage to artists that have marked the history of folk music and rock.

From 21, the band will propose a rich and varied repertoire by performing some of the best songs of Californian groups of the 70s, offering the sounds and atmosphere of the American West Coast who are now become legendary as a synonym for fun.

XXIV Hemingway Prize of Lignano Sabbiadoro

Saturday, June 7, at the Kursaal in Lignano Sabbiadoro, will be held the XXIV edition of Hemingway Prize for writing and journalism, with which will be recognised the merits of outstanding figures of television, press, fiction and essays that, thanks to their works or activities hava highlighted a high social and cultural content.

This traditional appointment among the events of Lignano is organised by the local authority for Culture and represents an opportunity to reaffirm the possibility of a journalism and writing that is content-based and not based only on conformism and sensationalism.
